Michael Gaedt (* 31. Juli 1957 in Schwäbisch Gmünd) is a German entertainer, musician, host and actor.

Gaedt grew up in Heubach, in the eastern part of the Swabian Jura, and is a trained stonemason. He later worked as a boat mechanic.

He is married to the journalist Tina Gaedt.^[1], with whom he has one daughter. He is a great-grandson of Peter Paul Gaedt.

He is a founding member of the comedy trio Die kleine Tierschau, which he started in 1981 together with his school friends Ernst Mantel und Michael Schulig. In 2009, Ernst Mantel left the band, and Michael Gaedt and Michael Schulig continued performing as a duo. Their final shows took place in 2016 after 35 years.^[2]

Since the 1980s, he has been working as a presenter.^[3]

He began acting on television in 1998 with Tatort: Bienzle und der Champion. In 2006, he appeared in Bienzle und der Tod in der Markthalle. Since 2009, he is starring in the crimes series SOKO Stuttgart as car mechanic uad used-car dealer Karl Heinz „Schrotti“ Schrothmann.

He also performed in various theatre and musical productions between 2006 and 2016.
