Comment: Discogs can't be used as a source, and the review doesn't mention Mazenta Z, only Brighton Ambients. One single review wouldn't be enough to show notability in any case. bonadea contributions talk 20:24, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

Mazenta Z (Mazenta Zebra) is a Brighton-based electronic ambient / improvised group that formed in Spring 2024. The three members, Paul Khimasia Morgan (guitar, lyra, effects), Roger Harmar (keyboards, samplers, synths, fretless bass, kalimba, effects), and Paul Lewis (guitar, effects), spun off from the larger Brighton Ambients ensemble. All their music is improvised with no planning, including live events, and collectively they draw inspiration from a wide range of genres and musicians.
Releases
Their first album, Doubt Thou the Stars are Fire[1], named from a quote by Shakespeare was released on 8 May 2025, and contains three tracks: "Purple Plume," "Emergence," and "Doubt Thou the Stars are Fire." The cover painting was created by Hiroko Lewis.
The second album, Unhurried Moon[2], again with a cover by Hiroko Lewis, was released on 20 March 2026. The back cover photography, showing waves breaking on a Sussex beach, is by Roger Harmar. The album contains five tracks: "Wax and wane," "Onyx," "Sonder," "Murmuration," and "In the sway of the tides."
Live
Mazenta Z first played live at the DAAM/MEANS MAG Electronic Music Night Review[3] in Brighton on 26 June 2024.
