MaxSea is a French company that develops marine navigation software and other related products.
History
MaxSea was founded in 1985 in Bayonne, France, by Brice Pryszo.[1][2] The company is based in Bidart, France.[3][4]
The company is part-owned by the Japanese marine electronics company, Furuno Electric Co., who report a 48% ownership stake in Maxsea's parent company, Signet S.A.[5][6][7]
In 2009, MaxSea’s parent group, Signet S.A., acquired the U.S. marine navigation firm Nobeltec from Jeppesen.[8][9]
