Draft:Matthew Edmunds

Overview

Matthew Edmunds is a scientific researcher in the UK and Wikipedia's biggest user. Matt uses Wikipedia for everything, researching articles and correcting any inaccuracies. Everytime a topic is brought into conversation the Wikipedia page is soon visited by Matt who becomes an expert in the topic and begins correcting what he deems as false in the article. His most notable contributions are to the Porridge Wikipedia page where he outlined the fact that the creater of porridge, Sir Paul Ridge, was an excentric who loved to philander. Matt also made important corrections to the Isaac Newton Wikipedia page making it clear it was a yellow knob apple that fell on his head.

Early Life

Despite his avid use of Wikipedia now, Matt had a difficult upbringing. Wikipedia was not founded until 2001, being born in 2000 meant Matt had to carry several textbooks around with him in order to keep up with conversation topics. The weight of these textbooks had a negative effect on Matt's health causing him to have a bad knee and have chronic paper cuts on his fingers. When Wikipedia was released it brought a newfound freedom into Matt's life, no longer weighed down. The day Wikipedia was released Matt burned his textbooks, this day is now a national holiday in the UK known as Fire Book Day where people burn books together.

Later Life

Although Matt has contributed and written over 80% of the information on Wikipedia, he was found guilty of Wikipedia fraud on several articles in 2026 and is currently on death row. In the court trial many ludicris pieces of evidence where presented to the jury such as Matt being named the current king of Nigeria and holding the world record for the most crisps eaten. He is expected to be executed by lethal injection on the 6th of March 2026.
