Marc Jobst (born March 20, 1961) is a Zimbabwe-born, British filmmaker. He has directed episodes of Daredevil, The Witcher, and One Piece.
Biography
Jobst, born in the Southern part of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland (modern day Zimbabwe), moved to England at a young age. In 1983, he graduated University of Newcastle upon Tyne in agriculture before pursuing the arts.[1] He founded the Three Monkeys Theatre Company and toured the country, primarily as a performer.[2]
His filmmaking career includes directing BBC dramas such as EastEnders and Casualty, and Marvel's Netflix series such as Daredevil, Luke Cage, and The Punisher.[3] He recently directed the pilot episode of One Piece, while also serving as an executive producer.[4] His other projects include Hannibal, Black Sails, Hemlock Grove, and Tin Star.[5]
His next project is a film covering the topic of homelessness called Home.[6]
