Draft:Luke G. Williams

  • Comment: I quote::
    In 2010, Williams published his book, Disrupt: Think the Unthinkable to Spark Transformation in Your Business, which became a business bestseller. There are so many books touted as "business bestsellers"; I wonder what the term means, if anything. That matter aside, this claim comes equipped with a reference. The source is: Disrupt: Think the Unthinkable to Spark Transformation in Your Business. I suppose that this means "Disrupt: Think the Unthinkable to Spark Transformation in Your Business is a "business bestseller" because that's what its publisher shouts on the front cover.
    What does "business bestseller" mean in this context?
    What reliable source, independent of Williams and of any of his publishers, says this is a "business bestseller"?
    Anyway, this book received critical attention in design and innovation media, including a review in Core77.... I expect that this claim will come with references to "critical attention in design and innovation media" not only in but also other than in Core77. It does not. Or at a minimum, that the Core77 review will refer to others' "critical attention in design and innovation media". Again, it does not.
    It this point, I gave up reading. Hoary (talk) 04:06, 4 February 2026 (UTC)
  • Comment: Notability is close, but under the bar. Reference 3 definitely stands out and I'd say it counts. Ref 7 only gathered opinions from Williams, stating nothing more but professor[...] and author of the book Disrupt for information of him. As far as I know, ref 9 doesn't have any mention of him or his book, and the rest of the sources are either primary or not independent. mwwv converseedits 01:24, 2 December 2025 (UTC)

In addition to his work in academia, Williams speaks internationally on disruption and innovation in business.
