Luck... or Something is the sixth studio album by the American singer and songwriter Hilary Duff. It is scheduled to be released through Sugarmouse Inc. and Atlantic Records on February 20, 2026. She co-wrote the album and was co-produced by her husband and record producer Matthew Koma.
The singer announced she had signed with Atlantic Records and released her lead single "Mature", which had an accompanying music video. To further promote her project, Duff is set to embark her fifth concert tour titled Small Rooms, Big Nerves from January to May 2026.
Development
A press release was first announced where Atlantic Records had signed American singer and songwriter Hilary Duff on September 9, 2025.[1] Revealing this comeback had reportedly caused a 400% increase in searches for her discography, through Swedish streaming service Spotify.[2] While attending an event for fashion magazine Vogue on October 26, Duff was pressed for more information on her impending return to music.[3] She revealed that, "[My fans] are going to hear something so soon, like in the blink of an eye."[4]
Themes and composition
"Mature", the following track and lead single was composed as an empowered and guitar-driven pop rock song.[5] It also includes an unexpected lyrical detail referencing to "Strawberry Letter 23" (1971) by singer Shuggie Otis.[6]
Promotion and release
Duff relaunched her website on November 2, which featured a pink background with a countdown timer;[7] when it ended the next day at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (UTC−04:00), the website revealed its lead single titled "Mature" and was released on November 6.[8] An accompanying music video was released the same day directed by Lauren Dunn.[9]
