Light-it

Light-it is a health technology company headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay, with offices in the United States and Argentina. Founded in 2019, the company is a software development company and consultancy agency specializing in healthtech and digital health product innovation, with a focus on clinical workflows, patient care, and research in areas such as longevity, GLP-1 therapies, wearables, and mental health.

Light-it has collaborated with organizations including Roche, Oxford University, AB InBev Foundation, Candid Health, Fridays, Anise Health, Mavida Health and University of Colorado.

History

Light-it was founded in 2019 by Alan Brande, Martín Oppenheimer and Javier Lempert in Montevideo, Uruguay, while they were studying Computer Sciences. Within three months of starting, it expanded its operations to the U.S. market. Initially, its services were broad, but around 2021, it decided to focus exclusively on health technology, working with startups and hospitals in the United States.  Soon after, Light-it opened an office in Florida, United States, and then established a presence in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2023. Later, it expanded again by opening an office in New York City, United States, while maintaining its headquarters in Montevideo, Uruguay.[1][2]

Products and Services

The company offers a range of services, including end-to-end healthcare software development, product strategy and design, custom software solutions, staff augmentation, data engineering, EHR migration integrations and healthcare-focused web development and marketing strategy. Light-it specializes in projects across various healthtech domains, such as GLP-1 therapies, and mental health.[2][3]

Recognitions

The company has been listed by the Financial Times among the Fastest Growing Companies in 2021[4].
