Law of Lines (Korean: 라인의 법칙) is an upcoming South Korean television series directed by Kim Sung-yong and starring Jang Ki-yong.

Synopsis

The series follows the story of Tak Do-il (Jang Ki-yong), a determined bank team leader who lacks elite connections or a powerful "line" within the corporate hierarchy. Described as a "political red-hand," Do-il uses his sharp wits to dismantle the "office mafia" and overturn the power games within the banking industry.

Cast

The Central Team Leader of the Seoul Regional Headquarters at Nara Bank. Despite coming from a non-prestigious university and lacking social backing, he rises to prominence as a "kingmaker" after receiving a commendation for catching a voice-phishing criminal.

Production

Development

In early January 2026, it was reported that director Kim Sung-yong, known for The Veil and My Dearest, would lead the production. The series is envisioned as a "political noir" set within the confines of a corporate office environment.

Casting

On January 6, 2026, it was confirmed that Jang Ki-yong would take the lead role of Tak Do-il, marking his first project in the political noir genre following his success in the romantic comedy Dynamite Kiss.[2]
