The ‘ Lakesider’ 599 is a bus route operated by Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire in Cumbria England. The scenic route links Bowness, Windermere, Ambleside & Grasmere as well as Kendal (Morning/Evening).[1]

The route runs at a hourly frequency during the winter (Nov-Mar) and an every 20 minute frequency in the Summer (April-Oct).[1]
The route mirrors route 555 between Windermere and Grasmere.[1][2]
Fleet and Operations
The bus route uses Volvo B5TL Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 (open-top variants). These entered service in Summer 2017.[3]
The route use to be run by Alx400’s.
The depot for the buses is located in Kendal and is why a few morning/evening services serve the town.[4]
The route is run by Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire.[1]
