Draft:Lake Lova

  • Comment: As with the last reviewer, it is very likely that this article will eventually pass notability, but it isn’t there yet. Notability requires 2-3 sources which are reliable, independent, secondary sources, which talk at length about the topic of the article. Unfortunately the sources you have so far aren’t quite there. Find another couple of sources, talking about the lake itself, and we should be able to revisit this again quickly. Good luck and keep up the good work 👍 Absurdum4242 (talk) 13:32, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

The Lago di Lova is a small artificial lake located in the municipal territory of Borno, in Val Camonica.[1][2]

Description

It occupies the bottom of a basin of glacial origin, at just under 1300 meters above sea level, between the mountain group of Pizzo Camino (2491 m) and Monte Mignone (1742 m).[1]

Lago di Lova is situated in a natural environment typical of the Lombard Prealps [it], with forests of Norway spruce framing the basin on the southern shore.[1]

Access

Lago di Lova can be reached in several ways. From Borno, a steep paved road (marked, among others, as trail number 82 by the CAI) climbs to the lake in about 3 kilometers. The very steep gradient (with peaks well above 20%) and the partially rough surface make it an itinerary suitable only for sturdy off-road vehicles. There is a parking area near the lake.[1][2]

From the paved road, at the Navertino locality, a natural-surface road branches off to the right, crossing the San Fiorino stream and climbing the opposite side of the small valley, where it forks.[1]

The lake can also be reached from Ossimo Superiore, via a steep mule track that climbs from the upper part of the village to the Baleggie locality (about 1300 m above sea level), from where it continues flat to the lake. Finally, it is possible to reach Lago di Lova from Villa, a hamlet of Lozio, by crossing the Colle del Mignone (1526 m). All these routes are accessible only on foot or by mountain bike, as motorized vehicles are prohibited.[1][2]
