Kennedy Brock (born September 13, 1988) is an American musician, best known as the rhythm guitarist for the pop punk band The Maine.

Early life

Brock was born Jonathan Franklin Trotter and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. His birth name was changed due to family reasons. He went to high school with some members of the pop punk band The Summer Set.[1]

Career

In 2006, Brock played in a band called Last Call for Camden along with Jess Bowen and brothers Stephen and John Gomez (The Summer Set). They released one EP titled, Keep Your Feet on the Ground, before disbanding. In 2007, Brock joined the Maine along with guitarist Jared Monaco, following the departure of Alex Ross and Ryan Osterman.[2]

Personal life

In 2015, Brock underwent a successful surgery to remove a tumor on his thoracic spine.[3]
