Kayo Martin

Kayo Martin (born 2010) is an American competitive skateboarder, boxer, and actor.

Early life and athletic career

Martin began training in boxing and skateboarding at a young age. In 2023, he became a National Junior Golden Gloves finalist in Orlando, Florida.[1]. During the competition, he won his bout against Cortez Hurtado by a 5–0 decision in the intermediate male novice division[2].

Martin also competed internationally in Olympic qualifying events for men’s park skateboarding[3]. In 2023, he earned world ranking points at competitions held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates[4], and San Juan, Argentina.

Acting career

Martin made his acting debut in the feature film The Plague, which screened at the Cannes Film Festival[5]. In the film, he portrayed the character Jake.

For his performance in The Plague, Martin received nominations for Best Breakthrough Performance from the Film Independent Spirit Awards[6] and the New York Film Critics Online[7] in 2025.

In addition to film work, Martin has appeared in commercial and brand campaigns, including collaborations with Nike[8] and KidSuper[9]
