Jude Kaegan Ash (born 5 November 2007) is an American football player serving as the Linebacker in sport for the Mount Enterprise High School from Mount Enterprise, Texas. Ash broke the record as the senior Linebacker during the 2025-2026 Mount Enterprise football season, surpassing American football league player Charles Kenneth Hall 72 years prior in 1956.[1] Kaegan, along with junior quarterback and middle linebacker Joshua Bennett, achieved reaching the state finals for the first time in the school's history.[2] He is the soon-to-be Linebacker player for the 2026 Texas Tech Red Raiders football team of the Texas Tech University in Lubbock.[3]

Early Life & Education

Kaegan was born in Nacodogches, Texas, the second child of mother Brittany Webster and father James Ash. He has two siblings, Landon and Memphis Ash, both who also play football and other athletic sports. Kaegan attended Mount Enterprise ISD at age 5, and has been a lifelong student there. Kaegan's first football game was in third grade. Even before his senior year, Kaegan was already recognized for demonstrating his skills and results. During his Freshmen year in 2022, Kaegan was recognized as a District 11-2A Offensive Newcomer of the Year after rushing for over 2,000 yards and 26 touchdowns. In his Sophmore year, He earned District MVP and All-State honors, totaling 2,837 yards and 38 touchdowns. He continued his dominance with 1,960 yards and 32 touchdowns while also becoming an elite defensive force with 4.5 sacks during his Junior year.[1]

Besides football, Keagan has engaged in other sports in his school where he won awards or reached higher levels. Concerning Track and Field, Ash earned the Bronze Medal (3rd place) at the Texas 2A State Track Meet as both a sophomore and a junior. His personal best in the triple jump reached 49-3.25 during his regional championship win.

During his senior year, the Wildcats kept scoring each football game without losses from the start of the season. During the Shelbyville play on September 26, 2025, Kaegan had been recognized for achieving 500 total yards in all 54 points including him running 385 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns on that game. This made him a Built Ford Tough Player of the Week employee.[2] From this event, which went viral on social media, Kaegan would continue building his scores in later games. During one of their final games with Bremond, Kaegan surpasses the late Kenneth "Sugar Land Express" Hall's single-season rushing record by rushing 501 yards, adding with his previous rushes to a calculation of 4,322 yards for the whole season, which broke Ken's record of 4,045 rushing yards that stood for 72 years.

On July, Kaegan was invited by Texas Tech from watching his highlights of his game during his Junior year. Alongside his sporting role at Texas Tech, Kaegan pursues to study economics and communication skills.

Personal Life

Alongside sports, Ash enjoys fishing and hunting, usually going with his peers during the weekends or school breaks. During his senior year, Kaegan does Bible studies at lunch time with his friends at school. He also enjoys learning instructions or reviews from mechanical videos, as well as watching hunting videos on YouTube.

Kaegan also runs a small car detailing business called Ash Mobile in Nacogdoches.
