K Será is an American alternative rock band active primarily between the late 2000s and early 2010s. The band released several independent records and received coverage from established music publications, including Alternative Press, for both their releases and collaborations.
History
K Será formed in the late 2000s and began releasing music shortly thereafter. Early coverage highlighted the band’s collaborative songwriting process and evolving sound.[1]
Between 2008 and 2013, the band released several records, including The Machinist, The Cantos: i, The Cantos: ii, and Collisions & Near Misses. The Cantos: ii and Collisions & Near Misses were released through Burning House Records, an independent label that worked with the band during this period.[2]
In 2011, Alternative Press premiered the EP The Cantos: ii, expanding the band’s exposure within the alternative rock scene.[3]
In 2013, Alternative Press reported that K Será’s album Collisions & Near Misses was produced by Casey Crescenzo, frontman of The Dear Hunter.[4]
In 2020, K Será returned with the release of the song Revolution in Retrospect, marking the band’s first new material in several years.[5]
In February 2026, Chorus.fm reported that K Será had begun teasing new music through a studio video featuring the band working with producer Casey Crescenzo and engineer Dryw Owens. The teaser marked the band’s first public indication of a larger-scale return since their 2020 single.[6]
Shortly after, K Será was announced as a supporting act on **The Dear Hunter’s** summer *The Road to Sunya* tour, a U.S. concert run promoting The Dear Hunter’s upcoming album *Sunya*. The tour spans May through August 2026 with performances in major cities across the United States and features Closure in Moscow alongside K Será on select dates.[7]
Musical style
Critics have described K Será’s music as alternative rock with post-hardcore influences, featuring layered guitar arrangements, dynamic song structures, and emotive vocals. Reviews of Collisions & Near Misses noted a more refined and expansive sound compared to the band’s earlier releases.[8]
