James McKellar Bugbee (December 17, 1837-1913) was a reporter, writer, public official, and state legislator in Massachusetts. He lived in Boaton. He was a Republican until the nomination of Blaine in 1884 when he became independent.[1]
He was born in Perry, Maine. He was named after his mother's first husband who died.[2]
He wrote Memoir of Henry Lillie Pierce about Henry Lillie Pierce and 'edited 'Memorials of the Massachusetts Society of the Cincinnati:. He also wrote "The Origin And Development Of Local Self-government In England And The United State". He also wrote Russia and Turkey - The Eastern question, historically considered and Cocoa and Chocolate: A Short History of Their Production and Use.
He wrote the chapter "Boston under the Mayors" for the Memorial History of Boston.[3]
He also wrote Local Sepf Government in England and the Ynited States.[4]
He wrote "Selection of Lavorers".
He formed Soule & Bugbee.
He was a secretary to three Boston mayors. He married and had three sons.[5]
