Jataf Pune Students Union (JAPSU) was established in the early 2010s by Kaka Keval Dhona with the vision of creating a unified platform for students in Pune to support academic growth, leadership development, and mutual cooperation. Initially functioning as an informal support group, JAPSU gradually evolved into a structured students’ union addressing challenges such as academic guidance, accommodation support, and mentorship for students adapting to Pune’s competitive educational environment.
Under the leadership of the current President, Darshan “DJ”, JAPSU has achieved significant progress through organisational modernisation, skill-development initiatives, and student welfare activities. With workshops, social drives, and leadership programmes, JAPSU today stands as a disciplined, inclusive, and forward-looking students’ organisation committed to empowering students and fostering responsible leadership.
