Comment: We need citations to multiple (at least three) reliable independent sources. We have a start, but if we cite our sources with external links, see WP:GENREF or Help:Referencing for beginners for a new way to cite sources. 🌀Hurricane Wind and Fire (talk) (contribs)🔥 13:54, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
Comment: Same as before, and see WP:SIRS. We need organisational depth in independent sources, and that is very difficult to achieve, the great majority of companies cannot meet this hurdle. If it is met, then there would be good sourcing linked into the article, using WP:REFB. ChrysGalley (talk) 10:55, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
Itch Petcare Limited (trading as Itch) is a British pet healthcare company based in Leeds, England. Founded in 2018, the company provides subscription-based flea, tick and worm treatments for cats and dogs in the United Kingdom and later expanded into retail distribution.
History
Itch Petcare was founded in 2018 by Jonny Gould, Adam Gould, James Cox and Charlotte Harper. The company launched its subscription service in 2019, offering home-delivered parasite treatments for pets.
The company raised approximately £5 million in early funding from investors including Seedcamp, Nigel Wray and YYX Capital.
In 2021, Itch expanded into retail distribution through partnerships with UK pet retailers, marking a shift from its original direct-to-consumer model.
Business model
Itch operates a direct-to-consumer subscription model, supplying parasite treatments for cats and dogs based on customer-provided information such as pet weight, age and health status.
Products
The company offers parasite control treatments for cats and dogs using established active ingredients commonly found in over-the-counter flea and tick products, including compounds such as fipronil and insect growth regulators. In addition to parasite treatments, the company sells pet-related products such as treats and supplements.
Products are sold primarily within the United Kingdom.
Reception
Itch has been described as part of the growth of the UK pet care and pet wellness market, worth an estimated £2.3b in 2023. Some veterinary professionals have raised concerns about the online distribution of parasite treatments without in-person consultation, reflecting wider debates within the veterinary sector.
