Hayat Amin is a British operator working at the intersection of fractional C-suite leadership, AI agentic operations, and IP and data strategy. A three-times-exited founder, he advises high-growth companies on building agent-led finance and operations stacks, monetising patent and data assets, and rewriting workforce models for a post-AI economy. He speaks publicly on the future of employment and human purpose. He is the founder of Beyond Elevation.[1][2]

Career as a fractional operator

Amin has worked as an operator and chief financial officer in technology and fintech companies for around two decades. He has been the operator on three exits, including transactions involving American Express and TripAdvisor, and has placed three businesses on the Financial Times FT100 fastest-growing list.[3][2]

Earlier positions include chief financial officer of Cake (a fintech acquired by American Express), head of finance at Tripbod (acquired by TripAdvisor), and a portfolio finance director role at iHorizon (later acquired by Cooper Parry).[2] He now operates fractionally for high-growth companies across New York, London, and Dubai, taking on chief financial officer, chief operating officer, or chief technology officer engagements on fixed monthly retainers.

AI and agentic operations

Amin works as an AI operator, designing and deploying agentic systems for finance, legal, and IP teams. He has been credited with shipping more than forty Claude and Claude-Code agents into production environments for software-as-a-service companies, with engagements measured by profit-and-loss attribution rather than uptime metrics.[2]

IP and data strategy

Amin advises on intellectual-property and data strategy for technology companies, including patent-portfolio valuation, licensing strategy, and the treatment of proprietary datasets as balance-sheet assets. The work increasingly underwrites mergers, acquisitions, and fundraising in artificial-intelligence-native companies.[1]

Public commentary on the future of work

Amin is a public commentator on the future of employment in a post-artificial-intelligence economy. He writes and speaks on how individual workers can reposition themselves as fractional or portfolio operators, on the role of human purpose in work, and on the contraction of full-time employment as agentic systems take on operational tasks.[4][5]

Other roles

Amin is a lead mentor at Techstars and has held strategy or finance roles with technology firms across Europe, North America, and sub-Saharan Africa.[2] He is a member of the Forbes Business Council.

Beyond Elevation

Amin is the founder of Beyond Elevation, a London-based advisory firm through which he delivers fractional C-suite engagements, intellectual-property and data strategy work, and AI-operator services. The firm was founded in 2023.[4][5]
