Hamish Warden (born 27 July 1999) is an Australian-Swiss basketball player who has played professionally in Australia, Switzerland, and Italy.
Early life
Warden was born in Perth, Western Australia.[1]
College career
Warden played college basketball in the United States for Notre Dame College, competing in NCAA Division II.[2]
Professional career
Australia
Warden began his senior career in Australia, playing in the State Basketball League (SBL) and NBL1.[3]
He has played for several teams, including the Perry Lakes Hawks, East Perth Eagles, Joondalup Wolves, and Albury–Wodonga Bandits.[4]
In 2022, he made his debut for the Bandits.[5]
Switzerland
Warden has played in the Swiss Basketball League (SBL) for clubs including BBC Nyon, Lugano Tigers, and SAM Basket Massagno.[6]
He has also been under contract with Swiss clubs during multiple seasons.[7]
Italy
In Italy, Warden has competed Serie B Interregionale.[8]
He signed with Basket School Messina.[9]
Return to Australia
Warden later returned to Australia to continue playing in NBL1.[10]
International career
Warden has represented Switzerland in international competition.[11]
He has participated in FIBA EuroBasket pre-qualification matches for the Swiss national team.[12]
