Emil Lorch (July 21, 1870 – June 20, 1963) was an architect and dean of the University of Michigan School of Architecture, now known as the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning.[1][2][3][4][5][6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] [15] [16] [17]

He attended the Detroit Museum of Art School, worked for Detroit's architectural offices, and then studied at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1890 to 1892. He studied at Harvard University from 1901 to 1903. The University of Michigan has a collection of vis papers[18]

Lorch Hall, a building at the University of Michgan, is named after him.[19]
