Embee Software was founded in 1989 by Sudhir Kothari.^[2] The company initially operated as a software licensing and reselling partner for global technology vendors, including Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP, Cisco, and Adobe.

During the 2000s, Embee Software expanded into systems integration and enterprise IT services. According to credit rating agency ICRA, the company’s business later became significantly aligned with Microsoft-related enterprise and cloud services.
