Elliot Jon Grihault (born 18 January 2006) is an English actor. He is known for playing Lucerys Velaryon in the HBO fantasy series House of the Dragon (2022). He began his career as a child actor on the West End.[2]

Early life

Grihault was born in Islington, London to Welsh actress and screenwriter Louise Breckon-Richards and artistic director Steve Grihault.[3][4]

Career

Grihault started his acting career in the West End production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre where he played Young Harry Potter in 2019.[5][6]

Grihault was then cast in his first[6][7] television role as Prince Lucerys Velaryon[8][9] in the 2022 award-winning HBO fantasy series House of the Dragon, a Game of Thrones prequel and adaptation of George R. R. Martin's companion book Fire and Blood.[10][11] Grihault was nominated alongside the rest of the cast for the Best Ensemble in a Drama Series category in the 2022 Pena de Prata awards.[12] His performance has received praise from fans.[13][14][15]

In 2021, Grihault did voiceover work for an Apple TV+ animation series called My Brother The Minotaur, taking on the role of Wesley Jr. The show was released in 2026.[6][16][17][18]

In 2024, Grihault was cast to star alongside Paul Ready in a young adult comedy-drama All That Glitters, which is inspired by the works of William Shakespeare and is set in a modern UK high school. Grihault was cast after director Peter Lavery found him to have good comedic instincts and for a successful chemistry read with the romantic interest of the movie, played by Flo Thompstone.[19] It started filming in summer of 2024,[20][21][22] and was first screen on the 27th February 2026 at the Dublin International Film Festival, with a planned wider release at a later date.[19][23][24][25] The film was reviewed positively, with Grihault performance being praised.[26]
