David Borenstein is an award winning documentary film director. He is based in Copenhagen, Denmark and is originally from Miami, Florida.
His 2025 film Mr Nobody Against Putin was co- directed by a Russian teacher, Pavel Talankin. It tells the story of how propaganda rolls out around the war in Ukraine in a small Russian town, Karabash, in the Ural Mountains. Mr Nobody Against Putin was Denmark’s 2025 Oscar candidate for the International Feature Film Award.
