Daniel Rüger (also written Daniel Rueger) is a German board-certified specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery (Facharzt für Plastische und Ästhetische Chirurgie). He works at the Rosenpark Klinik in Darmstadt, Germany, where he specialises in breast surgery, facial surgery, and body contouring. He is known for multiple television appearances on RTL and for hosting the German-language podcast Mehr als nur schön (More Than Just Beautiful).
Biography
Education and training
Rüger studied medicine from 2008 to 2014 at Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, with clinical semesters abroad at the University of Valencia and King's College London.[1] In 2015 he obtained both his medical licence and his doctoral degree (Dr. med.).
Following his doctorate, Rüger completed residency training at several German university hospitals:
- 2015–2016: Department of General and Visceral Surgery, University Hospital Frankfurt am Main
- 2016–2018: Clinic for Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein (Lübeck campus)
- 2018–2020: Clinic for Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Heidelberg University Hospital and BG Hospital Ludwigshafen
From 2020 to 2021 he completed a fellowship in aesthetic surgery at Akademikliniken in Stockholm, Sweden.[2]
Career
Since 2021, Rüger has been a specialist physician at the Rosenpark Klinik in Darmstadt.[3] His surgical focus includes breast augmentation and reconstruction, facelift procedures, eyelid surgery, abdominoplasty, and liposuction, as well as minimally invasive treatments with botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid.

Television
Rüger has appeared multiple times as a medical expert on German national television. In April 2026 he was featured on Punkt 12, RTL's daily midday news programme, in a segment about body contouring and the role of the doctor–patient relationship in aesthetic medicine.[4] He has also appeared on RTL Explosiv and ARD-Ratgeber: Gesundheit.
Podcast
Rüger is the host of Mehr als nur schön (More Than Just Beautiful), a German-language podcast covering plastic and aesthetic surgery topics.[5]
