D-BELL (short for “Digital Bell”) is the stage name of Hlib Futymskyi, a Ukrainian-born composer, music producer, and songwriter. His work includes electronic music production and compositions that incorporate orchestral, operatic and cinematic elements.[1] He has released studio projects that combine music production with narrative concepts and sound design.

Early life

Hlib Futymskyi was born in Vorzel, Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine. He later moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he continued his musical development.

During his early years he studied guitar and developed an interest in music performance and composition. He later began learning piano and working with digital music production tools.

His experience in recording and sound production developed through studio practice and independent work.[2]

Career

Futymskyi began releasing music under the stage name D-BELL (short for “Digital Bell”)[3]

In 2023, he released the album Over the World, an experimental project featuring collaborations with singers from several countries. Each song on the album is performed in a different language, including Italian, French, Ukrainian, Arabic, Japanese, Portuguese, and others.[4]

D-BELL has collaborated with musicians and recording studios in different countries. He works in genres including electronic music, cinematic compositions, and sound design. He has recorded in several professional studios, including Firdaus Studio, More Sound Studios (formerly SoundStruck Studios), Al Watan Studio, Fonoprint, Soundemic Studios, and Phase One Studios.

D-BELL's music incorporates elements of electronic music, orchestral arrangements, opera, and jazz. His influences include artists such as Michael Jackson, George Michael, Madonna, Queen, Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, Montserrat Caballé, Ennio Morricone, Johann Sebastian Bach, among others.

In 2025, D-BELL released the project Intersection which combines a fantasy novel he wrote with an album. Each track on the album corresponds to a chapter in the story. [6][7][8]

His recordings have included orchestral sections, choirs, and featured vocalists, and he has created arrangements that integrate classical and contemporary musical elements. He has been featured in television and radio programs in Dubai. D-BELL appeared on Dubai One’s DXB Today, where he discussed his creative process and performed a song from Intersection.[9] He was featured on Dubai Eye 103.8 in an artist spotlight segment.[4]

D‑BELL has presented his work at events and album launches in Dubai, including listening sessions and installations at Dubai Audio's Dubai Hills Showroom and other venues.[10][11]
