Chris Jenkins

Chris Jenkins is an Irish recovery coach and former semi-professional footballer. He is known for speaking publicly about addiction and recovery, as well as founding the Rebuild With Chris programme.[1]

Early life and football career

Jenkins played football from a young age and pursued a career in the sport, including a move to Australia where he signed with semi-professional side Floreat Athena.[citation needed] His football career was impacted by struggles with substance use, which affected his performance and progression.[citation needed]

Addiction and recovery

Jenkins has spoken openly about his experiences with cocaine and alcohol addiction, which began in his teenage years.[citation needed] He has described the severe physical and psychological consequences of addiction, including overdose and drug-induced psychosis.
