"Caribbean Air Control" is a disco/synth-pop track recorded by Big A in 1978 [1] and later reworked by Chromium in 1979. The song is notable for its early involvement of Trevor Horn, Geoff Downes, and future film composer Hans Zimmer.[2]

Release

The Big A single came out in 1978 with Caribbean Air Control on the A‑side and Juke Joint Bop on the B‑side. In 1979, Chromium released their version of the song as part of the album Star to Star, which was distributed by Infinity Records.

Reception

At the time of release Caribbean Air Control achieved a very limited commercial success and did not chart.

Personnel

On the Big A single, Trevor Horn performed vocals and bass, with Everitt credited as co‑writer.

The Chromium version featured Horn and Geoff Downes alongside Hans Zimmer, Anne Dudley, and Louis Jardim.
