Buse Babadağ (born 1995) is a Turkish ballet dancer and principal dancer with Ballet San Antonio. According to Hürriyet Daily News, she is the first Turkish ballerina to achieve principal dancer status in the United States.^[1][2][3]

Babadağ began ballet training at age 11 at Istanbul University State Conservatory

During her second year, she auditioned for the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Ballett-Akademie München. After being accepted, she left the conservatory to continue her training in Munich, where she studied from 2011 to 2014 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in dance.

Babadağ joined Ballet San Antonio in 2021 as a soloist and was promoted to principal dancer^[4] in her fourth season with the company. She was invited to join the company by then artistic director Sofiane Sylve. With the company, she has performed Principal roles such as Giselle and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, as well as Kitri in Don Quixote.

Babadağ performed with Indianapolis Ballet from 2018 to 2021, where her repertoire included works by George Balanchine such as Serenade and Rubies.

From 2015 to 2018, she was a principal artist with Dance Alive National Ballet, appearing in productions including Swan Lake and Carmina Burana. She previously performed with Tulsa Ballet from 2014 to 2015 as a company artist.

She has also appeared in musical theatre, performing as a Jet Girl (Pauline) in West Side Story at the San Pedro Playhouse.

As a guest artist, Babadağ has also performed with Istanbul Junior Ballet^[5][6][7] in Turkey.

Pointe Magazine profiled Babadağ in 2023, while Hürriyet Daily News and other outlets reported on her promotion to principal dancer.^[8][9]
