Brian Arthur Bart (born August 18, 1958) is an American musician, record producer, and audio engineer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is known for his work with the rock band Dare Force, instrumental fusion band Outsiders, his three solo albums, and his extensive career as a studio producer.[1][2]
Biography
Bart was born on August 18, 1958, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He studied advanced audio and multimedia in college.
Bart began his musical career in the early 1980s as a founding member of the rock band Dare Force, which released three albums and toured extensively, opening for acts including KISS, Kansas, and Blue Öyster Cult. The band performed over 2,000 concerts internationally before disbanding in the early 1990s.
In 1984, Bart established Logic Productions recording studio in Minneapolis, where he has produced over 380 albums and performed as a session musician on approximately 140 recordings. Notable productions include work with Night Ranger drummer Kelly Keagy and collaborations with Jim Peterik of Survivor, and several projects with Joey Molland of Badfinger.
From the 1990s through the early 2000s, Bart taught audio production at McNally Smith College of Music, where he developed curriculum for advanced audio and MIDI courses. During this period, he also produced a series of tribute albums for Liquid8 Records.
