BrianFest is an annual music festival held in Iowa City, Iowa, established in 2013. The festival commemorates the life and musical legacy of pianist and musician Brian Francis Cretzmeyer and serves as a fundraiser for music education initiatives supporting young musicians.

The event features performances by local and regional bands and has grown into a recurring cultural gathering within the Iowa City music community.

The first BrianFest was held in 2013 at the Iowa City Yacht Club as a memorial celebration honoring the life and music of Brian Francis Cretzmeyer.^[1]

Since its founding, the festival has been held annually and has expanded to multiple venues throughout Iowa City and nearby communities. Locations have included the Iowa City Yacht Club, the Iowa City Pedestrian Mall, North Linn Street, The Mill Restaurant, and Jerry's Farm in Lone Tree, Iowa.

BrianFest functions as a fundraiser for the Brian Cretzmeyer Trust for Young Musicians, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting young people who cannot afford music lessons.^[2]

Funds raised through the festival help provide access to music education, including private lessons, youth music camps, and other educational opportunities for aspiring musicians.
