Borshagovsky was a member of the editorial board of the Soviet magazine Novy Mir. No first name provided. Headed the literary department of the Red Army Theater and a leading contributor to the magazines Theater, Novy Mir, Znamya, and the newspaper Soviet Art.
Ridiculed in Literaturnaia Gazeta in a February 12, 1949 article on "rootless-cosmopolitnism" in the Soviet literary community.[1]
"The fact that we patiently observed Borshagovsky's anti-patriotic activities is the direct fault of the Secretariat of the Union of Soviet Writers. One doesn't have to be a particularly attentive reader to see that Borshagovsky tried at all costs to avoid ideological analysis of his works in his articles."[1]
