Block Wars is a Minecraft YouTuber tournament organized by Wolfeei and Capollo Media.[1] Eight teams of five compete in a series of Minecraft minigames. The tournament's first season, "Series 1," began on November 21, 2020. It's fourth and current season, "Chapter 1: Seasons of Sprout," began on March 28, 2026.[2]

There are two main Block Wars events that are hosted. Block Wars, which features a cast of established content creators, and Block Wars Origins, which features the original cast of players from the first two series, as well as smaller content creators.[3]

Gameplay

The event features eight teams of five players. These teams will face off in eight minigames that test a variety of Minecraft skills, such as parkour, combat, building, and teamwork.[4] Based on their performance, teams will earn points in each minigame.[5]

At the end of the event, the two teams with the most points face off in a finale game. The team who wins the finale game is crowned the winner of the event.

Hunt[e] Movement BWO 1–15 Hiders hide around the map while hunters try to find and kill them.
Move[f] Movement BWO 11–BW Rookies, BW Rookies 2–BWO Rookies Players try to finish four different courses which test different movement types.
Order Up Team BW 5– Teams gather ingredients to cook and deliver as much food as possible.
Overspleef Miscellaneous BW 11– Players try to mine blocks under each other to fall off the arena while trying to be the last player standing.
Parkour[g] Movement BWO 1–10 Players try to make it as far as possible through a difficult parkour course.
Party Miscellaneous BWO 11– Players compeate in a series of 4 different small minigames.
Puzzles Team BWO 1 Teams try to solve a series of puzzles as fast as possible.
Race Movement BWO 1– Players race across a track and try to finish as fast as possible.
Rock Paper Scissors Finale BW Chaos–BWO Chaos The top two teams face off in a first-to-six match of rock paper scissors.
Shockwave Finale BW 11– A battle royale style game where teams try to eliminate other players, not fall off the floating islands and be the last ones standing.
Skybolt[h] PVP BWO 2–10 Players try to get as many kills as possible by shooting other players with bows while flying with an elytra.
Skyzone PVP BW 1–BWO 23, BW Spring Fever– A battle royale style game where teams try to eliminate other players, not fall off the floating islands and be the last ones standing.
Spleef[i] Miscellaneous BWO 1–Chaos Players try to mine blocks under each other to fall off the arena while trying to be the last player standing.
Trailblazers Movement BW 10– Players try to complete as many different movement courses as possible, with courses spanning across six movement types.
Tomb Titans Team BW 11– Teams explore a dungeon filled with mobs and loot. Each item you obatin grants you points.
Turf Wars Finale BW 10–BWO Rookies Teams try to gain turf by killing the enemy players. Teams win by claiming all of the turf.
