Early life and education

James grew up in St Albans, Hertfordshire. She attended Nottingham Trent University, where she studied Business. During her studies, she wrote her dissertation on the barriers to entry for women in Formula One, focusing on how sponsorship structures affect opportunities for women in motorsport.

While at university, James founded and became president of the university’s Formula One society, which grew to more than 400 members in its first year. During this time, she began creating motorsport-related content and conducting informal interviews, which later influenced her presenting career.

Career

James began creating content on YouTube in 2019 while still at university, producing motorsport and automotive-related content. After graduating, she chose to pursue content creation and presenting full time. During the early stages of her career, she also worked as an extra on film and television productions.

Her early content included public interviews at automotive and motorsport events. One of her early interview formats involved asking members of the public about their dream classic car, which gained traction online and contributed to the growth of her audience.
