Anukriti is a project, launched by Asiatic Society Kolkata, to physically recreate old and damaged manuscripts[1]. The library of the Asiatic Society contains around 47,000 manuscripts in 26 scripts [2], some of them are rare and scarcely available [2]. The Anukriti project aims to reconstruct some of these old manuscripts and create a physical copy.

As part of the project, a palm-leaf manuscript, named 'Siddhanta Shiramani (Crown of Treatises)' written by Bhāskara II in 1150 AD, was reconstructed on palm leaves[1][3] [4]. As per reports, this is the first attempt in India to reconstruct physical manuscript [4].
