Draft:Alok chandrakar

  • Comment: I've seen a similar draft before (not sure if it was for the same person) but the references don't show that they're notable and politicians aside from members of national or subnational legislatures (not candidates) aren't automatically notable. Alok Chandrakar (born 20 July 1974) is an Indian politician from Chhattisgarh. He is a member of the Indian National Congress. Since 2022, he has served as the Vice President of the Chhattisgarh State Animal Welfare Board.[1]

Political career

Chandrakar is based in Mahasamund district and has held various organizational roles within the Chhattisgarh unit of the Congress party.

In 2019, he was a contender for the Indian National Congress nomination for the Mahasamund (Lok Sabha constituency) general elections.[2]

Following his appointment as Vice President of the State Animal Welfare Board in 2022, Chandrakar has been active in inspecting Gauthans (cattle shelters) and reviewing rural industrial projects. He conducted official inspections in villages such as Kondka and Bhotli to oversee the activities of women's self-help groups.[3][4]

In preparation for the 2023 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election, he served on the party's divisional booth management committee.[5] He has also supported the implementation of local rural schemes such as the Dharsa Development Plan.[6]
