Alexandre Alquier (born 8 November 1973 in Marseille) is a French lawyer specialising in tax law, corporate law and insolvency law. He is the founder and managing partner of Alquier & Associés (SELARL), a law firm based in Saint-Denis, Réunion, with an office in Marseille.

Alquier studied economics at the University of Aix-Marseille III (1992–1995), then obtained the DJCE (Corporate Law Degree) and a postgraduate degree (DESS) in tax law from the Institute of Business Law (IDA) in Aix-en-Provence (2001).

In 2006, he defended a doctoral thesis in commercial law, entitled La loi de sauvegarde des entreprises en difficulté : sauvetage des entreprises ou protection des créanciers ? (The Business Rescue Act: Saving Companies or Protecting Creditors?), under the supervision of Emmanuel Putman at the University of Aix-Marseille III^[1]. The thesis was an early doctrinal analysis of the French insolvency reform of 26 July 2005, published before the main implementing decrees were issued. It is held by several French university libraries^[2].

He was called to the bar in 2007. In 2022, he completed a certificate in digital business transformation at the École Polytechnique and Institut Mines-Télécom.

From 1992 to 2007, Alquier worked as a legal manager at Pézet & Associés, a business law firm in Marseille. After being called to the bar in 2007, he founded the firm Alba Juris in Marseille, practising in business law and insolvency.

In 2011, he relocated his practice to Réunion under the name Alquier & Associés. The firm handles matters in tax litigation, corporate law, insolvency proceedings and commercial disputes.

In 2025, he represented a consortium of investors in the judicial liquidation proceedings of the Case à Pains bakery group before the Saint-Denis Commercial Court^[3][4]. He also appeared as defence counsel in the Cité des Dirigeants trial before the Saint-Denis Court of Appeal, a case concerning alleged misappropriation of public funds by officials of two local authorities in Réunion^[5].

He served on the Réunion Bar Council (2013–2020) and on its Disciplinary Council (2021–2022).

Since 2022, Alquier has been based in the United States, where he acts as Of Counsel at EPGD Business Law in Miami, Florida^[6]. He advises on cross-border France/United States legal matters while maintaining his French practice.

In 2019–2020, Alquier organised the Mia-Run Art Show, an exhibition presenting artists from Réunion at Art Basel Miami and subsequently in Réunion^{[7][8][9][10]}.

Since 2022, Alquier has been ranked in Band 2 by Chambers and Partners (Chambers Global) for business law in Réunion^[11].

In 2018, Le Monde mentioned him in an article on French lawyers considering qualification at a foreign bar in the context of Brexit^[12].
