AMX UAV is a drone manufacturer and aerial mapping services provider based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia operated since 2018.[1] AMX UAV is one of 24 drone-focused companies currently receiving guidance from Indonesian Ministry of Industry in areas such as capacity building, market access, and product development.[2][3]
AMX UAV received BRIN RIIM ("Riset dan Inovasi untuk Indonesia Maju", literally Research and Innovation for Advanced Indonesia) Award 2024 for Start Up Award category.[4][5]
Products
Their main product line, Vertic, is a tail-sitter VTOL drone used for various application such as agriculture, urban planning, plantation, mining, forestry, oil and gas.[6][7] Vertic is designed as an easy to control, fully autonomous, high stability drone, capable of operating from a narrow site.[3][8]
Vertic Block I, launched in 2021, could fly autonomously from takeoff to landing, with 32 minutes flight time, 30 Km range, and 14 m/s wind resistance. Block II upgrade was launched in 2022, with the absence of wing control surfaces as the main difference. Instead of using elevon for fixed-wing mode, Block II utilizes its four motors propulsion, an advantage of the quad-rotor tail-sitter VTOL configuration. Block III was launched in 2023, with enhancements including strengthened airframe, increased battery capacity (up to 40 minutes flight time, 35Km range, and could map up to 350Ha/flight), and heavier payload.[9] Vertic XL was launched in 2024. Its bigger fuselage allows longer endurance (up to 70 minutes flight time and 65 Km range).[10][11] Vertic Air was launched in 2025, with major redesign in the airframe's detachable mechanism. It transform the airframe from 3 parts (fuselage and 2 wings) of Block III into 5 parts (fuselage, 2 wings, and 2 winglets), reducing the box case volume by up to 60% compared to Block III. The new detachable mechanism also shortens the field assembly process, from 6 minutes to 1 minute. These advantages do not compromise flight performance compared to its predecessor, can fly for 35-40 minutes with same payload. Vertic Air is manufactured by combining additive manufacturing and composite materials, enabling rapid development and production while easily accommodating custom client requirements.

They also provide educational micro drone for student and hobbyist, the Qubit. Qubit was equipped with internally-developed Flight Controller unit, consisted of microcontroller, IMU sensor, telemetry, electronic speed controller, and power distributor to handle simple tasks. Qubit was designed as a learning tool, covering electronical and mechanical components assembly, flight controller programming and drone piloting.[12]
