The 439th Support Squadron is an active United States Air Force Reserve unit. It the supports three 439th Operations Group Squadrons (337th Airlift Squadron, 439th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, and the 439th Contingency Response Squadron as well as Westover ARB Airfield Management, Air Traffic Control, and Base Operations. It is a unit of Fourth Air Force 439th Airlift Wing, 439th Operations Group stationed at Westover Air Reserve Base, Massachusetts.[1][2]
Overview
Operations Support Squadron that supports the largest Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) unit-equipped wing. Managing the support functions for a C-5M Airlift Squadron, Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, and Contingency Response Squadron. Including Tactics, flying, Current Operations, Operational Plans, Flight Records, Aircrew Flight Equipment, Intelligence, and Airfield Operations (Base Operations, Tower, RAWS, Weather).

- Redesignated as 439th Operations Support Flight in the Reserve, on 1 October 1992.
- Redesignated as 439th Operations Support Squadron in the Reserve, on 1 October 1994.
