Claire Morgan (born 1980 in Belfast, Northern Ireland) is an Irish artist. She lives and works in the North East of England.[1][2]
Biography
Morgan was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She studied at Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne, graduating with a BA Hons in Fine Art Sculpture in 2003.[3]
Her work is inspired by the cycles of nature and the problematic relationships between humans and nature, as well as personal experiences and memories of trauma.[4][5]
Morgan started out working with temporary materials such as rotting fruit and other organic materials.[4] She is known for suspended installations that often include taxidermy,[6][7][8] and also for intricate works on paper.[9]
