Air Benin was the flag carrier of Benin from 1978 to 1987 operating various different aircraft.
History
Air Benin was founded in 1978, the airline initially used the Dutch built Fokker F27. The second one was repaired but stayed in the USSR when Benin did not pay for the repairs.[1] The airline would commence operations in the year of 1979.[2] A Fokker F 28 bound for the Benin Air Force was planned to enter service with them but was transferred over to Air Benin in 1983 when it was subsequently sold.[1] Transports Aeriens du Benin was then created after Air Benin was reorganized. In 1996 a DHC 6 of Transports Aeriens du Benin was moved to the air force.[1]
