Το "The Negative One" είναι ένα τραγούδι του αμερικανικού heavy metal συγκροτήματος Slipknot, το οποίο συμπεριλήφθηκε στον πέμπτο δίσκο τους, .5: The Gray Chapter, του 2014. Πρόκειται για το πρώτο τραγούδι τους συγκροτήματος, που κυκλοφόρησε μετά τον θάνατο του Πολ Γκρέι, καθώς επίσης και την αποχώρηση του Joey Jordison. Το κομμάτι ήταν επίσης το πρώτο single του δίσκου, κυκλοφορώντας μόνο σε ψηφιακή μορφή. Την ίδια χρονιά κυκλοφόρησε και video clip, για την προώθηση του.[1]

Το single πέτυχε εισπρακτικά, καθώς έφτασε στο νούμερο 1 των βρετανικών Rock and Metal,[2] ενώ στα αμερικανικά charts του Billboard, έφτασε στο νούμερο 21 του Rock Songs και στο νούμερο 33 του Mainstream Rock.[3] Τo 2015, έλαβε και μία υποψηφιότητα στα βραβεία Grammy, στην κατηγορία Best Metal Performance.[4]
