Solus Christus

Το Solus Christus (Μόνο ο Χριστός) είναι θεολογικό δόγμα που διατηρείται από ορισμένες διαμαρτυρόμενες ομολογίες και θέτει ότι η σωτηρία υπάρχει μόνο μέσω της πίστης στον Χριστό.[1] Αποτελεί μέρος των Πέντε solae μάζι με το Sola scriptura, Sola fide, Sola gratia και το Soli Deo gloria.

Δόγμα

Μέσω του εξιλαστήριου έργου του Ιησού Χριστού και μόνο, ανεξάρτητα από τα έργα του ανθρώπου, και ότι ο Χριστός είναι ο μόνος μεσίτης μεταξύ Θεού και ανθρώπων, χωρίς τον Χριστό δε μπορεί να υπάρξει σωτηρία της ψυχής.[2][3][4]

Βιβλικά επιχειρήματα υπέρ του δόγματος

Ως θεμέλιο του δόγματος του «solus Christus» έχουν επικαλεσθεί διάφορα βιβλικά εδάφια.

  • Κατά Ιωάννην 14:6 - Λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς, Ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ ὁδὸς καὶ ἡ ἀλήθεια καὶ ἡ ζωή• οὐδεὶς ἔρχεται πρὸς τὸν πατέρα, εἰ μὴ δι' ἐμοῦ.
  • Α' Επιστολή προς τον Τιμόθεο 2:5 - Εἷς γὰρ θεός, εἷς καὶ μεσίτης θεοῦ καὶ ἀνθρώπων, ἄνθρωπος χριστὸς Ἰησοῦς.
  • Πράξεις 4:10-12 - Γνωστὸν ἔστω πᾶσιν ὑμῖν καὶ παντὶ τῷ λαῷ Ἰσραήλ, ὅτι ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι Ἰησοῦ χριστοῦ τοῦ Ναζωραίου, ὃν ὑμεῖς ἐσταυρώσατε, ὃν ὁ θεὸς ἤγειρεν ἐκ νεκρῶν, ἐν τούτῳ οὗτος παρέστηκεν ἐνώπιον ὑμῶν ὑγιής. Οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ λίθος ὁ ἐξουθενηθεὶς ὑφ' ὑμῶν τῶν οἰκοδομούντων, ὁ γενόμενος εἰς κεφαλὴν γωνίας. Καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐν ἄλλῳ οὐδενὶ ἡ σωτηρία• οὔτε γὰρ ὄνομά ἐστιν ἕτερον τὸ δεδομένον ἐν ἀνθρώποις, ἐν ᾧ δεῖ σωθῆναι ἡμᾶς.
