Η QNAP αποτελεί μια ιδιωτική εταιρεία η οποία ιδρύθηκε το 2004 αφιερωμένη στα δικτυακά προϊόντα αποθήκευσης δεδομένων (NAS) τα οποία απευθύνονται σε μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις αλλά και ιδιώτες.[1] Η QNAP είναι μια πολυεθνική εταιρεία με την έδρα της στην Ταϊπέι στη Ταϊβάν και διαθέτει γραφεία στην Κίνα αλλά και στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες Αμερικής.[1]
