Το Pew Research Center είναι αμερικανική δεξαμενή σκέψης με έδρα την Ουάσινγκτον. Παρέχει πληροφορίες για κοινωνικά θέματα, την κοινή γνώμη και τις δημογραφικές τάσεις που διαμορφώνουν τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες και τον κόσμο.[1] Το Pew Research Center δεν λαμβάνει πολιτική τοποθέτηση και είναι θυγατρική του The Pew Charitable Trusts[2][3]

Το 1990, η Times Mirror Company ίδρυσε το Times Mirror Center for the People & the Press ως ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα, με αποστολή τη διεξαγωγή δημοσκοπήσεων για την πολιτική.[4] Ο Andrew Kohut έγινε διευθυντής το 1993, και το Pew Charitable Trusts έγινε ο κύριος χορηγός του το 1996, όταν μετονομάστηκε σε Pew Research Center for the People & the Press.[5]

Το 2004, το Trust ίδρυσε το Pew Research Center στην Ουάσιγκτον.
