Το Microsoft Surface είναι μια σειρά tablet που σχεδιάζονται και προωθούνται από τη Microsoft.
Το Surface θα είναι διαθέσιμο σε δύο εκδόσεις:
- μία έκδοση με τα Windows RT
- μία έκδοση με τα Windows 8 Pro
Το μοντέλο με τα Windows RT θα χρησιμοποιεί επεξεργαστή ARM, ενώ το μοντέλο με τα Windows 8 θα χρησιμοποιεί επεξεργαστή Intel CPU. Και τα δύο τα μοντέλα θα μπορούν να εγκαταστήσουν νέες εφαρμογές μέσω του Microsoft Store. Ωστόσο μόνο στο μοντέλο με τα Windows 8 θα επιτρέπεται εγκατάσταση των κλασικών εφαρμογών στην Επιφάνεια Εργασίας. Το Surface RT είναι διαθέσιμο από τις 26 Οκτωβρίου του 2012, ενώ το Surface Pro είναι διαθέσιμο από τον Ιανουάριο του 2013.
