Το LXLE είναι διανομή Linux βασισμένη σε πρόσφατη έκδοση παρατεταμένης υποστήριξης (Long-term support, LTS) λειτουργικού συστήματος Ubuntu/Lubuntu και χρησιμοποιεί το περιβάλλον LXDE. Έχει μικρές απαιτήσεις σε υπολογιστικούς πόρους και λειτουργεί σε παλαιό και νέο υλικό υπολογιστών.[1]

Απαιτήσεις συστήματος (2015)[2]

  • Ελάχιστες: 512 MB of RAM και 8 GB χώρο στον σκληρό δίσκο.
  • Προτιμώμενες: 1024 MB για RAM και 8 GB χώρο στον σκληρό δίσκο.

Υποδοχή

Σε κριτική του 2014 στο Full Circle Magazine, ο Γκαμπριέλε Τεταμάντζι (Gabriele Tettamanzi) σημειώνει ότι το LXLE έχει ελάσσονα προβλήματα διεθνοποίησης και τοπικοποίησης αλλά το περιγράφει ως καλό "ελαφρύ και γρήγορο" με "πλούσιο και σταθερό λογισμικό".[3]
