Το Konsole είναι το τερματικό (αγγλ. terminal emulator) του περιβάλλοντος εργασίας KDE.[4] Είναι ελεύθερο λογισμικό, αδειοδοτημένο με την GNU General Public License (GNU GPL), Version 2.[5]

Το Konsole γράφτηκε αρχικά από τον Lars Doelle.

Οι εφαρμογές KDE, συμπεριλαμβανομένων των Dolphin, Kate, KDevelop, Kile, Konversation, Konqueror και Krusader, χρησιμοποιούν το Konsole για να προσφέρουν ενσωμάτωμένη λειτουργία τερματικού μέσω του Kpart.

Χαρακτηριστικά

Το πρόγραμμα παρέχει λειτουργικότητα αντίστοιχη με των περισσότερων της κατηγορίας του. Επιπλέον, παρέχει διάφορες δυνατότητες όπως καρτέλες (αγγλ. tab), υποστήριξη σελιδοδεικτών (αγγλ. bookmark), αναζήτησης, αποθήκευσης, πολλαπλών προφίλ κ.α.[5]
