Γεγονότα
Βυζαντινή Αυτοκρατορία
- Ο Βυζαντινός στρατηγός Βιταλιανός εκστρατεύει εκ νέου προς την Κωνσταντινούπολη. Στόλος 200 πλοίων αποπλέει από τα λιμάνια του Εύξεινου Πόντου και αποκλείει την είσοδο του λιμανιού της πρωτεύουσας. Ο αυτοκράτορας Αναστάσιος Α΄ ανησυχεί από τις ταραχές στην πόλη, οι οποίες προκαλούν πολλά θύματα, και αποφασίζει να διαπραγματευτεί με τον Βιταλιανό.
- Ο Βιταλιανός δέχεται λύτρα και δώρα αξίας 5.000 λιτρών χρυσού για την απελευθέρωση του Υπάτιου, ανιψιού του Αναστασίου Α΄, ο οποίος ήταν αιχμάλωτος μετά την επίθεση στην Άκρι. Ο Βιταλιανός αποσύρεται ξανά στην Κάτω Μοισία.
