Die World Series 2002 war die 98. Auflage des Finals der Major League Baseball. Die Serie zählt zu den denkwürdigsten in der Baseballgeschichte. Erstmals schafften es gleich zwei Wildcardteams bis in die World Series. Die Serie startete am 19. Oktober 2002 und endete am 27. Oktober 2002. Es standen sich der Champion der American League, die Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, und der Champion der National League, die San Francisco Giants, gegenüber. Sieger der „Best of Seven“-Serie waren die Anaheim Angels durch einen 4:3-Erfolg. Die Angels gewannen die Spiele 2, 3, 6 und 7, die Giants konnten die Spiele 1, 4 und 5 für sich entscheiden.

Für die siegreichen Angels, die bereits seit 1961 in der Major League spielten, war es die erste Teilnahme an einer World Series überhaupt. Die Giants hatten ihre letzte World Series 1954 (damals noch als New York Giants) gewonnen. Seit ihrem Umzug nach San Francisco 1957 schafften es die Giants nur zweimal in die World Series, verloren allerdings sowohl die World Series 1962 als auch die World Series 1989.

Zum MVP der World Series wurde Troy Glaus gewählt.
